About Me

My name is Tish Lewis, and I’m a Registered Counselling Therapist candidate (RCT-C24-090) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make that step feel a little easier. I bring a down-to-earth, relatable approach to therapy, balancing professionalism with warmth, humour, and groundedness. Life is complicated, and I believe that therapy doesn’t have to be overly formal or intimidating.

In my work, I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and goals. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and parts work. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

I adhere to the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) Code of Ethics, ensuring that my practice is grounded in professionalism, integrity, and respect for your unique experiences.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply needing space to sort through what’s on your mind, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll work toward deepening your understanding of yourself and your experiences, creating space for growth, clarity, and self-compassion.

Therapy isn’t about rewriting who you are—it’s about making sense of the chapters that came before and finding the strength to carry your story forward with intention and compassion.
